世界之美就在台灣 (國家公園季刊 National Park )

什麼是台灣的音樂？
對受過金曲獎多次肯定的製作人吳金黛來說，這個問題，要站在像坎城唱片大展這樣的國際場合高度下，才能一目了然。答案很清楚，只有那些源於這塊土地的聲音，才能真正代表台灣。如原住民音樂、地方戲曲等。吳金黛小時候練過鋼琴，不過之後的求學與教英文工作，全和音符無關，一直到拿獎學金出國唸書，專攻錄音技術，才又把那條年少的音樂路給接了回來。這次，她很清楚自己要作什麼，她要蒐集原汁原味的台灣之聲。

What is the Music of Taiwan?
To Judy Wu, a music producer repeatedly recognized by Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards, the answer to this question can become clear only at such an occasion as MIDEM International Music Fair in Cannes: Only those sounds originating from this land can truly represent Taiwan, such as aboriginal music and local operas. Once learning to play the piano in her childhood, Wu's student life and early career had nothing to do with music. It was not until she studied abroad with scholarships and majored in sound recording technology that she reconnected her long-lost link with music. This time she knew what she wants: to collect truly original sounds of Taiwan.

等待與獨處
部落裡原住民的天籟，是一開始的目標。跑田野的次數多了，才驚覺，對這塊孕育原住民也孕育萬物的土地，是否更該有所記錄呢？於是，那隻毛茸茸的麥克風，轉向了遼闊的大自然。打開這樣的局面，一來讓台灣聲音的呈現更豐富，也促使音樂創作，多了更多的可能。既然要蒐集土地的聲音，就註定吳金黛不能坐在錄音室裡吹冷氣。她得早早起床，背著錄音器材上山下海，面對漫長的尋找與等待。因為，自然界的生物不會乖乖的準時出現，對著儀器演唱。......<未完待續>

The Wait and the Solitude
Wu started with recording the beautiful vocals of aborigines, and later turned her interest to the land that has nurtured these great singers. So she pointed the fluffy microphone to the Nature. Such openness has enriched the presentation of the sounds of Taiwan and broadened the possibility of musical creation. To collect sounds across the land, Wu must not stay indoors enjoying the air-conditioning but get up early and take her gadgets everywhere in the wild, facing long searches and waits because creatures out in the Nature will not simply show up on time and sing to the mic.
